'The Qualified Candidate Democrats can Trust to
Fight for Democracy & Strengthen Community TIES'

Danielle Keys Bess

Danielle Keys Bess understands the importance of the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector being our County Voter Registrar - protection of voting rights is the first critical step to participating in democracy. Harris County residents deserve a strong leader to stand up as

their Voter Registrar.

As Republicans continue to target Harris County residents by undermining our elections, suing our Democratic elected officials, and targeting our most vulnerable communities, we can count on Danielle to expand voter registration efforts across the county.

Danielle Keys Bess is a native Houstonian who works tirelessly to make Harris County a better place to live and work. As the project manager for newly constructed, affordable single-family properties, Danielle worked to create homes for more than 100 families with a 0% foreclosure rating. And when natural disaster damaged and destroyed the homes of our most vulnerable senior citizens, Danielle focused her work ethic and expertise to support the rebuilding and/or remodeling of their homes throughout Houston. Never content with the status quo, Danielle played an active role in bringing together private and public funders to support neighborhood beautification projects in our historically underserved communities.

Danielle’s parents grew up in the segregated south and taught her the importance of strength, leadership, and hard work. She learned the importance of hard work from both her father, a US Navy veteran, and her mother, a small business owner/entrepreneur. Danielle Keys Bess grew up in a household grounded in a spiritual foundation of service, faith, and sacrifice – and those core values are at the center of her professional and personal life.

A proven innovator with more than 20 years of experience working to elect and support our local, state, and national Democratic leaders, Danielle is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and holds and Executive MBA from Texas Women’s University.

Danielle is married to Corey Bess, a senior marketing professional in the energy sector and a dedicated member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The Bess family are active members of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church and enjoy golfing, swing-out dancing, traveling, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
